Meltdown Hot Stuff was launched in September 2019. Since our toasties are so indulgent we wanted to create a sauce that was light, flavoursome and most importantly had a kick to it. 

We decided to start placing bottles of our homemade hot sauce on the tables in Meltdown's cafe, courtesy of Maeve O' Malley the founder of Meltdown.

After numerous requests for the spicy habanero goodness and seeing the bottles of hot sauce disappearing quickly on the tables, Maeve decided to develop the sauce further by making it widely available to local shops and other retailers .

It does marvellous things to your eggs, it's great for spicing up a sandwich or any other dish on the menu!

It's also the secret ingredient to so many of the dishes we serve here in Meltdown.
